Helping your Child with Home Learning
Home learning is an integral part of learning. Beyond the chance to practice and reinforce what children have learned in class, it’s also an opportunity to develop independent study and application- and character traits like perseverance.
Parents involvement makes a big difference, from the very earliest stage. In early years parents can support their child’s development through story telling, singing and reading together.
Later on, home learning should not generally require adult help, and with today’s busy lives it certainly can be hard to find the time. But we know as parents/carers that we are called in as reinforcements if a task is especially challenging. Other times, it falls to parents/carers just to give encouragement and support.
